Reagents and equipment:
- 50 g of baking soda;
- 20 ml of glycerin;
- 15 ml 3% hydrogen peroxide solution;
- 15 ml of water;
- 1 drop of mint flavoring;
- mixing bowl;
- container for the toothpaste.
Step-by-step instructions
Stir the baking soda, glycerin, hydrogen peroxide, water and flavoring until a thick paste forms. Pour the mixture into the container and keep in a cool dark place.
Processes description
Particles of baking soda act as an abrasive and remove plaque, and the glycerin makes the mixture paste-like. Hydrogen peroxide kills bacteria and eliminates bad breath. The mint flavoring gives the paste a pleasant taste.
