Physics - Communicating vessels

Prepare in advance

In this lesson, we will conduct "Homemade water pump and leveling cups" DIY experiments. Prepare in advance household materials shown below.

DIY Materials

  2 transparent plastic cups
  a pen
  jug of water
  blu-tack
  straw (ideally transparent)
  tray
  scissors
  food coloring or dye or strong tea
  2x glasses
  2 bendy straws (transparent ideally)
  protractor and ruler
  pile of books
  sellotape
