- limes;
- oranges;
- lemons;
- drinking water;
- ½ tbsp baking soda;
- sugar;
- blender;
- gauze;
- jug.
Step-by-step instructions
Peel the citrus fruits and cut them into small slices. Blend into a homogeneous mass. Filter through gauze. Add sugar, drinking water, and ½ tbsp baking soda. Stir well — and your refreshing citrus soda is ready!
Process description
Citrus fruits contain a large amount of citric, malic, and ascorbic acids, which react with baking soda to produce carbon dioxide. Carbon dioxide is poorly soluble in water, and the gas bubbles gradually make their way to the surface of the mixture, making the lemonade carbonated.
