("Company," "we," or "us"), a limited company registered in England and Wales under company number: 9385043, having its registered address at C/O AZETS, Burnham Yard, London End, Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom, HP9 2JH, provides access to information through our website accessible at the URL http://www.melscience.com/ (the "Site," or "Website"), and sells and supplies the goods and services (the "Product") listed on this Website. By using this Website or by ordering any of the Products listed on this Website, you agree to be legally bound by these terms and conditions ("Conditions" or "Terms"). You will be unable to proceed with your purchase if you do not accept these Terms and Conditions as may be modified or amended and posted on this Website from time to time. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, you must exit this Website immediately.
The MEL Science Product contains the following educational courses – the Chemistry Course, the Physics Course, and the STEM Course, the Medicine Course, the Professions Course, the Coding Course. Each course contains a set of different educational kits, which are shipped to the Customer, and access to MEL Science’s digital content.
In using our services, you may from time to time be invited to participate in various programs that we use to test and improve our courses and services, and be offered MEL Science courses that match your child’s age. We may use your personal information for this purpose and rely on our legitimate business interest in testing and improving our courses, services, and additional features in doing so. You may, however, opt out of our testing program at any time by sending a response to our invitation to participate in the program.
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY. BY USING THE SITE OR SERVICES, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT (i) YOU HAVE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, (ii) UNDERSTAND THEM, (iii) AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THEM, AND (iv) YOU ARE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD. NOTE THAT YOU MAY NOT USE THE SITE OR SERVICES UNLESS YOU ARE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO ANY OF THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS BELOW, WE ARE UNWILLING TO GRANT YOU ACCESS TO THE SITE OR THE SERVICES.
1. Account
In order to use some of the Website features and to purchase a MEL Science Product from the Website, you must first register to set up an account (“Account”) with us by completing the registration form on the Website. You should enter your child’s age in order to receive the best matching Product. In order to register an Account, you must be an individual and agree to comply with these Terms.
1.1 Representations and Warrants
You warrant that all information you provide to us when registering an Account is true and accurate to the best of your knowledge and belief. It is your responsibility to ensure that the information in your account is updated regularly with any relevant changes.
1.2 Responsibility
You are responsible for the confidentiality of your Account login information and you are fully responsible for all activities and purchases that occur under your Account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your Account, or suspicion that anyone has obtained access to your Account, or if you otherwise become aware of any unauthorized use of your Account, or other security breaches. We cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with the above requirements.
1.3 Right to Refuse
We may refuse at our absolute discretion any application to create an Account on the Website, receive our services, or purchase our Product for any reason whatsoever.
1.4 Permission to Contact
By supplying your email address when creating an Account or subscribing to our mailing lists, you grant us permission to contact you via email regarding your Account and changes to your subscription, or the services and the Product we offer.
1.5 Sharing Your Contact Details
With the exception of order processing, we will not pass or sell your details to any company outside of our group. Your data may be transferred outside the EEA (European Economic Area).
2. Pricing and Payments
2.1 Bank Charges
You agree not to hold us responsible for any banking charges incurred due to payments on your Account.
2.2 Order Procedure
No order is accepted from you until our Website displays an order confirmation message and you receive a confirmation email from us. The Website allows you to review your order and make any corrections before submitting it to us, and by submitting the order, you confirm that you have made any necessary corrections. We may require additional verification or information before accepting any order. Where you are paying for your own subscription,your order is accepted when we send you shipping information for the order (or the accepted portion thereof). Where you are buying a subscription for someone else as a gift, your order is accepted when we either send you shipping information for the order (or the accepted portion thereof) OR when you receive a receipt of payment in the event you have opted for the recipient to confirm their desired postage address.
2.3 Automatic Charging
Your subscription will continue until you cancel it or it finishes. You will be charged automatically according to your subscription plan.
2.4 Charging Date
You will be charged on or around the end of the first week of every month for monthly subscriptions, with the exception of your first monthly payment, which will take place on or shortly after your order date.
2.5 Country Limitations
You can only purchase a Product to be delivered in the country in which you reside and where your payment card is registered. Currently, this is limited to:

2.6 Price Change
All courses are subject to changes in price. We reserve the right to change the fees for any services or the price of any course at any time, while not being obliged to inform you in advance. However, in such circumstances, we will make reasonable efforts to give you 30 days’ notice. You can cancel your subscription if you do not agree with the updated price. You agree that we will not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of any course or its price.
2.7 Up-to-Date Payment Details
It is your responsibility to ensure that your Account on the Website contains correct and valid payment details for the entire term of your subscription.
2.8 Special Packs
From time to time, you may receive offers to purchase a special pack, which will be delivered in a single large shipment for some special occasions (e.g. Christmas). These packs will not affect your current subscription and are subject to the same set of Terms and Conditions as a standard MEL Science subscription. If you encounter any issues with such packs, please contact our support team: support@melscience.com. The delivery area for special packs can differ from the regular delivery area; you can also check whether delivery to your region is possible by contacting our support team.
2.9 Coupon Usage
We do not work with any coupon services; any promo codes obtained through third-party websites are invalid. You can use only promo codes received either directly from MEL Science or from MEL Science’s official partners. You can check the validity of promo codes by contacting our support team: support@melscience.com.
2.10 Referral Program
Each Customer can participate in our referral program by inviting new customers. MEL Science will give each invited customer 50% off the first box of their subscription. After the shipment of the first box to the newly-invited customer, a discount voucher valued at 20 units of the currency used in the Customer's account will be automatically added to the Customer’s account. Discount vouchers will be automatically applied to the Customer’s next payment. If the customer possesses several discount vouchers, the system will automatically default to using the oldest voucher. Please note that only 1 discount voucher can be applied to 1 payment at a time, and each discount voucher can be used for only 1 purchase, i.e. if payment is less than the voucher’s worth, the unused balance cannot be applied to the next payment. MEL Science reserves the right to offer the Customer and invited customer other bonuses, including bonuses from third-party services, in place of those outlined above.
Please note that only 1 discount voucher can be applied to 1 payment at a time, and each discount voucher can be used for only 1 purchase, i. e. if payment is less than the voucher’s worth, the unused balance cannot be applied to the next payment.
MEL Science reserves the right to offer the Customer and invited customer other bonuses, including bonuses from third-party services, in place of those outlined above.
3. Cancellation and Returns
3.1 Cancellation by You
If you wish to cancel your subscription, you can do this in your Account on the Website. Any subscriptions debited prior to cancellation will be processed as normal. You remain responsible for ensuring that any such change or cancellation is not only transmitted by you but received by us, which you can ensure via a cancellation confirmation email from us. We reserve the right to deliver and charge in full for any order unless we have received notice of cancellation. Any payments you have made for orders which have been properly canceled will be refunded to you.
3.2 Cancellation by Us
We reserve the right to terminate or restrict your use of our service for any or no reason whatsoever. If we terminate your use of our service because of a breach of any obligation under these Terms, such termination will be immediate and without notice.
3.3 Exchange
We do not accept any kit exchanges.
3.4 Damaged or Defective Items
You must inspect the kit delivered to you on the day of receipt and notify us the same day of any defects. We will replace or refund you for the defective kit if notified of any damage or defects on the day of receipt according to the procedure below.
All returns must be made within two weeks after the kit shipment date. All returned kits must be unused and returned in accordance with the instructions received from contacting our customer service. You are solely responsible for the cost of shipping the returned kit. Provided that we confirm that your kit was damaged and was returned as described above, your sole and exclusive remedy is that
- we will issue a refund to your credit card in the amount charged for the damaged kit (if your credit card has already been charged) or
- we will not charge your credit card for the damaged kit. The refunded amount will include the applicable delivery fee.

4.2 Used Postal Service
We use different postal services in different countries.
4.3 Delays
Any delivery dates provided by us are estimates. You will not hold us responsible for any delays outside our control relating to the delivery of the Kit.
4.4 Delivery Terms
We reserve the right to ship Kits at different frequencies and intervals depending on stock availability. We will make reasonable efforts to post monthly subscriptions on or around the same day each month. Quarterly, Six-monthly, and Annual subscriptions will be posted in bundles of varying sizes. We will make reasonable efforts to ensure products delivered reflect our customer subject preferences, however reserve the right to substitute Kits with suitable alternative Kits from other MEL Science product ranges depending on stock availability.
4.5 Lost Kits
It is your responsibility to report all lost Kits within two weeks of expected delivery time by email to support@melscience.com. Subscriptions not reported within this time frame are not subject to refunds.
4.6 Areas with Unreliable Post
We reserve the right to cancel your service if it becomes apparent that, in our sole opinion, the postal service in your area is too unreliable.
4.7 Address Change
If you change your shipping or billing address, you must update your address details by logging into your Account on the Website and updating your profile. Please ensure we receive this communication two weeks before a Kit is due to be dispatched, as you will be solely responsible for any Kits posted to the wrong location.
5. Website and Product Use
5.1 License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable personal license to access and use the Site and Services and download, install, and operate any software (in object code form only), scripts, and other content that we may from time to time have specifically identified within the Site as available for download either to your PC, smartphone, or a tablet device (“Software”). The Software is a part of the “Service.” Your use of any Software may be subject to additional terms and conditions that accompany such Software. Except where you are given a non-exclusive license to use the intellectual property rights that you need to enable you to use the Website in accordance with these Terms, you are not given any rights in respect to the intellectual property rights owned by us or our licensors, and you acknowledge and agree that you do not acquire any ownership of, or other rights in relation to, any such intellectual property rights by virtue of using the Website.
5.2 Non-Transferable
You may not rent, transfer, assign, commercially exploit, resell, or sublicense access to the services to any third party.

You also agree not to interfere with the servers or networks underlying or connected to this Website or our services, or to violate any of the procedures, policies, or regulations of networks connected to this Website. It is your responsibility to ensure that your computer system is compatible with the Website and meets all the necessary technical specifications to enable you to access and use the Website.

Chemistry Course:
The Course is designed as an educational activity for children NOT YOUNGER THAN TEN (10) years old and may contain Small Parts, Small Balls, Long Cords, Magnets, Balloons, and may need Batteries to operate. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE KITS ARE NOT DESIGNED, MANUFACTURED, OR INTENDED FOR USE BY CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF TEN. Kits contain some chemicals which can present a hazard to health. You must follow the following rules when using the Product:

- Because children’s inclinations vary widely even within age groups, supervising adults should exercise discretion as to which experiments are suitable and safe for them. The instructions should enable supervisors to assess any experiment to establish its suitability for a particular child.
- The supervising adult should discuss the warnings and safety information with the child or children before beginning an experiment. Particular attention should be paid to the safe handling of acids, alkalis, and flammable liquids.
- The area surrounding the experiment should be kept empty and away from the storage of food. It should be well-lit, well-ventilated, and close to a water supply. A solid table with a heat-resistant surface should be used.
- Substances in non-reclosable packaging should be used up (completely) over the course of one experiment, i.e. after opening the package.
- Be attentive while using the solid fuel stove. Only use it as described in the experiment instructions. After usage, wait for some time for the stove to cool down.
- If the child has strong allergies or asthma, make sure they never inhale any of the reagents provided. Avoid experiments that involve the release of strong smells (safety caption: “Conduct in a well-ventilated area”), or consult with a doctor before performing them.

All products labelled and/or advertised “for educational use” may only be used for educational purposes. Commercial use, resale, and research use other than educational purposes are all prohibited. By requesting or placing an order for such products, you represent and warrant that you will use the products only for educational purposes. Unauthorised uses must be recalled and destroyed.
The Product is designed for an educational activity for teens NOT YOUNGER THAN FOURTEEN (14) years old and may contain Small Parts, Small Balls, Long Cords, Magnets, Balloons, and may need Batteries to operate. This product may contain sharp tools, electronic devices, needles, tools that can puncture the skin, etc. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE PRODUCTS ARE NOT DESIGNED, MANUFACTURED, OR INTENDED FOR USE BY CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF FOURTEEN. - Before the experiment started, particular attention should be paid to the safe handling of acids, alkalis, and flammable liquids.
- The area surrounding the experiment should be kept empty and away from the storage of food. It should be well-lit, well-ventilated, and close to a water supply. A solid table with a heat-resistant surface should be used.
- Substances in non-reclosable packaging should be used up (completely) over the course of one experiment, i.e. after opening the package.
- Be attentive while using the solid fuel stove. Only use it as described in the experiment instructions. After usage, wait for some time for the stove to cool down.
- If the person has strong allergies or asthma, make sure they never inhale any of the reagents provided. Avoid experiments that involve the release of strong smells (safety caption: “Conduct in a well-ventilated area”), or consult with a doctor before performing them.
