Chemistry - Electrolysis

In this MEL Academy lesson your child will:

  • find out about electrolysis
  • decompose water and metal using a battery
  • grow their own tin tree

Prepare in advance

On this lesson we will conduct "Electrolysis" DIY experiment. Prepare the following household materials:

  USB cable you don't need (we will cut it) or a wire
  2x AA or AAA battery
  3x Glass
  Sugar (1 table spoon)
  Table salt (1 table spoon)
