Warning! Only under adult supervision.

Equipment

  • copper wire;
  • pliers;
  • AA battery;
  • neodymium magnet.

Step-by-step instructions

Make a turkey outline circuit from copper wire. Set a battery on a neodymium magnet, make a small indentation in the positive pole, and place the turkey on this indentation. Give the turkey a little nudge and it will start to dance!

Process description

When the wire touches the neodymium magnet and the positive pole of the battery, this creates a closed circuit through which current begins to flow. At the same time, the magnetic field of the neodymium magnet begins to act on the current-carrying conductor, due to which the circuit begins to rotate around the fulcrum.
