Dec­o­rate your gy­ro­scope and set it spin­ning us­ing a string wrapped around its axis!

Process de­scrip­tion

The gy­ro­scope ro­tates around its ver­ti­cal axis while re­main­ing sta­ble. It main­tains its bal­ance due to the gy­ro­scop­ic ef­fect – the gy­ro­scope strives to keep the po­si­tion of its axis un­changed, and the faster it ro­tates, the more sta­ble it is. Its ro­ta­tion speed grad­u­al­ly de­creas­es due to the ef­fects of fric­tion, and when it be­comes in­suf­fi­cient, the axis of the gy­ro­scope de­vi­ates from the ver­ti­cal line in a spi­ral, caus­ing it to flail, then fall.
