Reagents and equip­ment:

  • ethyl al­co­hol (96%);
  • cop­per(II) chlo­ride di­hy­drate;
  • spray gun;
  • pump­kin;
  • lighter;
  • toi­let pa­per.

Step-by-step in­struc­tions

Put cop­per (II) chlo­ride di­hy­drate in a beaker and add ethyl al­co­hol. Mix well, Put toi­let pa­per in the pump­kin and soak it with some of the so­lu­tion. Pour the re­main­ing so­lu­tion in the spray gun and spray the pump­kin. Light it. For an even more stun­ning ef­fect, spray the burn­ing pump­kin with the spray gun. En­joy the im­pres­sive green flames.
